Check out my Trail Maintenance gear list of items used while day hiking or cycling in the winter months. The winter months include large windstorms that come in off the Pacific Ocean, and slam on the coastal foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This means lots of trees of various sizes and tree limbs to clear off of trails. Trails on the Olympic Peninsula would disappear, if it was not for humans to keep them clear. - Hydration - Filter attached to large recycled water bottle
