Kids Camping Trip to Cape Alava (Photojournal) Olympic National Park Outdoors

It was time for a much needed trip into the backcountry with family.  I asked my son if he would rather spend time in the rain forest or the beach.  Since there is so much to explore, he chose the Olympic Coast.  We would spend 4 days exiled from humanity and wander the afternoons away barefoot in sand.

Overall this was a fun kids adventure in the Olympic National Park. I look forward to returning to the Washington coast in the future, with my family. Make sure you keep the kids pack light and bring lots of snacks.
